Third-year IIT Stuart M.B.A. student Nikolaos Zikas was recently selected by the Gerondelis Foundation to receive a $4,000 academic grant to support his graduate studies.
The Gerondelis Foundation offers grants for people of Greek descent who earned bachelor’s degrees in Greece, and who pursue graduate studies in the United States. Grant recipients are selected based on academic performance, including GPA and rigor of their graduate studies.
Nick earned his bachelor’s and master of science equivalent in civil engineering from the National Technical University of Athens in 2006. He chose to attend IIT Stuart School of Business based on its strong reputation for quantitative programs, and will complete his IIT Stuart M.B.A. with a concentration in finance/risk management in 2014.
Following graduation, Nick hopes to pursue a career in financial markets in Chicago. Most recently, he has worked as an intern in buy-side relations with Eurex Exchange.
