Kevin McGeeney, CEO of SCB, will be giving a presentation on Tuesday, October 23 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in DTC Room 470.
Kevin will talk about SCB and the career opportunities at SCB. Currently, SCB has two open roles: a Commodity Broker Internship for first year students, and an Entry-Level Commodity Broker for second year students.
Students will be responsible for successful execution of projects and daily process work for one of SCB’s brokerage desks. This combination of project and process work allows students to research a section of the industry to conclusion and also engage in the day to day running of the business. Projects vary and can include putting together presentations, analyzing data or conducting research. Kevin McGeeney has been the CEO of SCB Group for the past 12 years. Before SCG, he was the Non Executive Director of Peaks Foundation for 4 years in Switzerland. He was also the Managing Director of Global Interest Rate Derivatives / Prop Trading at ABN AMRO for 4 years and he has worked in New York, London, and Tokyo. He has over 20 years of experience in the field of Finance. SCB Group provides brokerage services across the globe in biofuels, energy and agricultural markets. Operating from the commodity capitals of the world, they offer commercial and financial customers brokerage services in physical, listed and Over-The-Counter commodity derivatives. They were previously known as Starsupply Renewables SA.
This is a great opportunity for students to learn about the opportunities at SCB from Kevin and network. MSF, MMF, MBA, and BSBA students are encouraged to attend and take advantage of this great opportunity. All interested students must register.
