Master of Finance ProgramThomas Binois recalls that when he was a graduate student at EISTI, a top-ranked engineering school near Paris, he had two compelling reasons to transfer to IIT. EISTI and IIT Stuart School of Business had established a double degree master's program, which Binois felt would complement his science acumen. His second reason was based on research he did about IIT.
"Stuart provides the competencies and knowledge required for students to be successful in the ever-changing and vibrant field of finance," he explains. "In addition, Stuart faculty have held important manager positions in the financial services sector, and students are therefore able to receive a very practical and industry-oriented education."
Binois maintains a demanding schedule. In addition to attending classes, he is employed part-time at a wealth management startup and holds membership in a student investment club at Stuart as well as the French-American Chamber of Commerce. He says his academic and extracurricular activities give him invaluable experience now, and will benefit his anticipated future career as an investment banker.
Immediately after graduation Binois hopes to obtain a position as an equity analyst and will prepare for the Chartered Financial Analyst exam.
