Bryan Tillman
Dual-Degree EMS/M.B.A. ProgramAs a professional with PNC Bank and formerly with Edamerica, an education finance firm, Bryan Tillman had the opportunity to work closely with IIT for many years. He felt that the university's reputation and its focus on the next economy would give him an ideal skill set after completing his graduate education.
"IIT is one of the best universities that offers environmental management and sustainability (EMS) within its business school," says Tillman who learned about the Stuart School of Business EMS program at Chicago’s Green Festival. "Having a full understanding of how I can advance society's ability to become more sustainable, I can leverage my business background and knowledge to create a competitive advantage for the firms I work for in the future."
Tillman is president of the IIT Stuart chapter of Net Impact, a member-based nonprofit group whose aim is to create positive social impact through business. He and other EMS classmates were invited to speak about sustainable communities at the Bronzeville International Summit, which aired on Chicago Access Network Television.
"This event really made me proud of not only how I was able to convey what I had learned at IIT to an audience but also how many of my classmates were also able to convey this message as well," he says. "We came together and put on a very holistic presentation that was informative and spanned many topics."
