    Liad Wagman
    Assistant Professor of Economics

"What I like about Stuart is that the school promotes interdisciplinary research and teaching. I'm a faculty member in Economics and have come across no barriers when collaborating with faculty and students in Finance, Marketing, Environmental Management, and Operations Management -- in fact, doing so is encouraged. Stuart's teaching and research environments bridge the gaps between fields, making both research and teaching a more enjoyable and relevant experience for students and faculty."

Professor Wagman joined IIT Stuart in August 2009 after receiving his doctorate from Duke University. In his research, Wagman studies the impact of innovation-enhancing policies, issues of knowledge dissemination, optimal design of social choice rules and voting mechanisms, and the privacy and acquisition of consumer information. He teaches undergraduate, MBA, and PhD courses in Microeconomics and Game Theory.

    Smriti Anand
    Assistant Professor of Management

"I am excited about Stuart's commitment to world class research. Stuart's emphasis on interdisciplinary research challenges me to create new knowledge by going beyond the traditional research methods. Faculty members here are encouraged to collaborate with colleagues not only in the business school but also in the school of engineering and other areas. Interdisciplinary research is not just a buzz word, but an integral part of our career at Stuart."

Professor Anand came to IIT Stuart in 2011 after receiving her PhD from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her research focuses on leadership, customized work arrangements, and diversity.
